INTERIOR

32 NORTH STREET

CHICHESTER PO19 1LX

The project reimagined a former Laura Ashley retail unit into a refined, contemporary office for Smith Simmons & Partners. Designed within the constraints of a Grade II listed structure, the project introduces a light-filled and open workplace that supports staff wellbeing and regenerative activation of the high street. Working with the building’s historic fabric, the design for 32 North Street introduced minimal glass partitions, bespoke built-in furniture and new kitchen and bathroom/shower spaces, to create a refined high street office space.

CLOSE UP

THE REEDS AT SOUTH LODGE HOTEL

BRIGHTON RD, LOWER BEEDING RH13 6PS

The project delivered eight exclusive, sustainable pondside lodges, designed for privacy and harmony with nature. Full-height glazing and over-sailing decks provide immersive views, while eco-friendly construction methods—including modular off-site fabrication and Rapidroot foundations—minimised site disruption. Each lodge uses a water-source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, and recycled or recyclable materials. Built under mature tree canopies with minimal environmental impact, the lodges achieve sustainability goals and exemplify innovative, low-impact design tailored to an ecologically sensitive site.
