Mayfair House, 11 & 12 Heene Terrace, Worthing
Formally the Mayfair Hotel, the project had fallen into complete dilapidation and was recorded as an endangered Listed Building. Following a fire 10 years ago, the building was left to fall into further dilapidation with water damage and dry rot throughout. In April 2011 by working closely with the planners, the Worthing Society, local Conservation Officers and Heritage Consultant Nicholas Antram IHBC (who sadly passed away before completion of the project), The Pure Group and client took 2 years of careful restoration to faithfully restore the main front elevation. Inside a careful balance was agreed with the Conservation Officer that kept the architectural integrity and features but allowed the conversion into luxury apartments.
