ARCHERS FIELD

STATION ROAD, ISFIELD, UCKFIELD TN22 5FA

A development of 10 two, three and four bedroomed houses designed to cater for local demand, support local economy and be ecologically and environmentally sustainable.

Contractors were employed from Sussex and materials sourced locally from Sussex or Kent, including insulated timber frames made in Kent. Timber cladding and Tiles came from Wales. Air source heat pumps with underfloor heating were installed and surface water attenuation arranged to minimise flood risk. Bat, bird boxes and log piles with wildlife corridors further enhance the contemporary design based on Sussex Vernacular. The development is highly efficient and cheap to run with yearly costs of £1/1200 pa.
