The Champagne Bar is the sixth successful project with R W Armstrong working on the Goodwood Estate. The original facility was demolished, and work included extensive groundworks to create a large kitchen area, extended terrace at ground floor, a stretch-fabric canopy and steel structure, plus a new bar facility.

To create a low-slung pavilion-style building of modern design, with minimal vertical emphasis whilst maximising of large format glazing to provide high-quality working environment for an Architectural Practice. Choosing a very dark grey colour for the entire building enabled it to be absorbed into the wooded backdrop and wider views.

Operating in the field of high-tech security entrance control, the client required a building style which reflected this through design and use of modern materials and techniques. Originating in Sweden, the company wanted to reflect a Scandinavian influence within both the external design and the interior.

South Lodge Hotel Spa is a purpose-built spa within the grounds of the award winning 5-star hotel. It features pools, treatment rooms and exercise rooms together with dining and bars. Sustainability is a priority with biomass heating throughout and a reed-bed drainage system in addition to a full meadow-grass roof.
