Richard Pailthorpe

Director of the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum

Richard has spent his entire life working in the rural, heritage and museum world and who has devoted much of his own time to inspire and enthuse others to learn more about their local history and heritage.  As Director of the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum he has succeeded in attracting significant grant funding from the NHMF, and of course the Museum is an exemplar in its field and a major visitor attraction in Sussex. Richard is also an author or co-author of several books on the heritage and interest of the Chichester area.
