Salterns Reach is a niche development of five bespoke new homes, uniquely situated moments from the water within the Chichester Harbour AONB at Prinsted. The architecture is a hybrid design with Arts and Crafts influence together with expansive glazing, oak framed features and the use of local and vernacular materials

STOCKBRIDGE PLACE, 2-5 STOCKBRIDGE PLACE, CHICHESTER PO19 8QH

The brief was to obtain planning consent and provide new housing units to the rear of the site on brownfield land, and to refurbish the existing retail and maisonettes, bringing them up to modern standard. Three residential properties were achieved, in a contemporary manner with sustainable features.

THE FORGE,  EAST ROW, CHICHESTER PO19 1PD

The existing building was a modern 1960s office block which lies mid-terrace between two listed properties. The conversion was a development of six two-bedroom contemporary apartments using material sympathetic to the appearance and character of the surrounding historic area.

The project was to deliver three of the highest quality homes. The brief was to create a design that sat quietly in its context, using a modern aesthetic and to move the architectural conservation along in Brighton & Hove.

HIGHLY COMMENDED

WOODLANDS PARK,  SEDGWICK LANE, HORSHAM

Woodlands Park’s unique concept was to design contemporary homes within a countryside setting. The floor to ceiling windows, vertical chestnut cladding, split faced stone and crisp white render along with cantilever upper floors and punched in first floor terraces, create a stunning development which truly explores the potential within contemporary eco construction.
