Welcome to our New Trustees!
We are delighted to announce the appointment of two distinguished professionals to the Sussex Heritage Trust Board:
Joanna Clark
Joanna is a Partner and Head of Commercial Property at Lewes, bringing extensive expertise in commercial real estate. She advises on all aspects of buying, selling, leasing, and funding commercial property, with particular proficiency in the care home sector—acting for both operators and funders in acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing. Joanna also has significant experience in the retail, leisure, and hotel industries, and specialises in leasehold enfranchisement matters, handling both lease extensions and freehold acquisitions. As part of her firm’s energy sector team, she has advised developers of solar panel sites, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable development.
Graham Flight FCA
Graham is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with over four decades of experience in public practice, primarily in East Grinstead. He has held numerous leadership roles within the Bluebell Railway, including serving as Company Secretary and Director since 1985, and as Chairman of Bluebell Railway Plc for 18 years until 2013. Graham was instrumental in drafting the original Bluebell Railway Charity Trust deed and served as a Trustee from its inception until 2013. He also chaired the Northern Extension Project, leading to the successful reconstruction and reopening of the line to East Grinstead in 2013, and currently chairs the Western Extension Project.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Charles Homan, who has retired as Treasurer and Company Secretary and now serves as a Patron of the Trust.
