We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lap Chan BA (Hons) Dip Arch as a Trustee.

With nearly 40 years of experience in architecture, Lap has worked with a variety of architectural firms on a diverse range of projects in Britain and internationally. His work has spanned the full spectrum of architectural design, from urban planning and large institutional buildings to bespoke homes, with experience across sectors including arts and leisure, education, churches, community, and commercial buildings.

A multiple Sussex Heritage Trust Award winner, Lap has received no fewer than eight awards since 2007, recognising his outstanding contributions to architectural excellence in Sussex. His most recent success was in 2025, winning in the Small Scale Residential category for New Dwelling at Shards and being named the overall winner of The Eco Award.

Lap’s expertise and deep understanding of the built environment will be a valuable asset to the Trust as we continue our mission to preserve and celebrate Sussex’s rich architectural and landscape heritage.
